About the Instructor

Rusli Arsyad, CHA

With over 30 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, Rusli has built a distinguished career from the ground up. He first began learning about work through a part-time job while still in school starting as a Room Boy in South Sulawesi back in 1993 and has steadily advanced through key operational and leadership roles across renowned hotel brands in Indonesia.


He has held several pivotal positions, including:

  • Corporate General Manager - The Zeeti Hospitality Management 

  • General Manager - ILLIRA Hotel Banyuwangi (4-Star)

  • General Manager - Gets Hotel Semarang (4-Star)

  • General Manager at The Balava Hotel Malang (4-Star), which is now known as Ascent Premiere Hotel Malang

  • Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for HARRIS Batam (4-Star) 

  • Director of Sales & Marketing for Harris Malang (4-Star) 

  • He was appointed as the first Revenue Manager in Tauzia Hotel Management (now Ascott), based at the 4-star Harris Waterfront 

  • He also spent a significant part of his early career in the Rooms Division, serving across several reputable properties such as Radisson Yogya (formerly Loman Park Hotel Yogyakarta), Melia Panorama Batam (now Four Points by Sheraton Batam), Planet Holiday Batam, and Bintan Lagoon Resort (now Mövenpick Resort). Currently, Rusli serves as the General Manager of a four-star hotel in Central Java, where he continues to lead hotel teams, optimize revenue performance, and foster excellence in hospitality service and management.
